Are you ready for an exciting day? Did you know that during medieval times, it was used as a shelter by the knights of Rhodes? There is so much to see on the island, including the beautiful church, the impressive amphitheater, the ancient necropolis, the ruins of homes, and even the knights’ coat of arms. And don’t forget to visit Cleopatra Beach, where the famous queen herself once swam on her honeymoon with the King Antonius!
You can still see the small cove where Cleopatra took a dip. Did you know that the sand in this cove resembles bulgur grains and is believed to be the remains of marine creatures? It’s truly a unique sight to see! We kindly remind you that removing sand from the beach is prohibited. According to a legend, when Antonius saw how much Cleopatra admired the area, he had boats transport sand from North Africa to this location. This type of sand is currently only found in Tunisia.
